Source 5. IGI: Achsah Hamilton B: 25 April 1782 Brookfield, Worcester, Mass. parents Josiah Hamilton & Sarah.We do not know who this family is;
An Axa Allen or Aling was B: 15 Aug 1770; Her parents are Asabel Allen & Desire (---?) Allen; The name Allen & Aling is probably the same name and is either English or Scotish; We are considering Axa Allen as a possible wife of Joseph hamilton and mother of my grandmother Candace Hamilton simply because Joseph Hamilton & Mrs Hamilton had a daughter named Axsah Born 1807 at Windham, Green, New York; Jospeh Hamilton was born 1772 Sharon, Litchfied, Conn; This Axa, possible wife was born in 1770; She could be his wife even though she is about 2 years older than he is.
