Mesheck Farley & Sarah Burnham were intending marriage & their fathers had covenated to give the young couple a start in the world. Mr. Farley agreed to provide the land & half the expense Thomas Burnham should incur in building the house. The marriage occurred; the bride having just turned her twentieth year. All the conditions having been fulfilled, the house was build & paid for and final deeds were passed. Genearations of Farley after them made their home in the old family home built by the young couples fathers.
