Sources; Land Records for Sempronious, Cayuga, New York; 1810 Sempronious, Cayuga, New York Census; Film: 0851941 pg 238; Vespatiant Phillips sells land so Samuel Phillips, his son; “That I Abliene Phillips, widow of Vespasian Phillips gives to Samuel Phillips” shows that Vespsian or Vespatiant is the same name and is spelled two ways in the same record; Vespatian is deceased by 10 May 1822, which is the date of this transaction.

Most of Richard Phillips and Ruth Pitts children reained in Ashfield, now Franklin Co. Massachusetts; However his son Peletiah removed to Vermont where he died and my grandfather Spencer Phillips removed to Ohio where he died:
